Seeking one senior structural engineer in our award-winning NYC firm with a desire for advancement and growth through a leadership role. The successful candidate will analyze, design, and review documents; interface with clients; perform quality control, scheduling, and overall project management; and manage a team of junior and intermediate level engineers. Candidate must be organized and a good communicator and must have the technical expertise for new and renovation projects. Our projects include new buildings, renovations, additions, historic systems, artwork, and special structures in collaboration with leading architects, artists, and designers. The candidate will not be assessed based purely on the number of years worked but on a desire and capability for fulfilling the role above. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a desire to be exposed to the multiple facets of an engineering consulting firm.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering with a focus on building structural engineering
  • 7+ years of U.S. work experience
  • Experience and interest in renovations, additions, and modifications of structures
  • Familiarity with timber, masonry, concrete, and steel design
  • Knowledge of building codes (NYS, NYC, IBC) a plus
  • Sound engineering judgement
  • Proficiency in computers, CAD, and structural design software
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good organizational skills
